Good morning! Hope all is well.
First off, we're having board elections tomorrow at 7PM. Every vote helps make the board more representative and dynamic, so please come!
Please reply whether you can make it or not ASAP, as it will help us decide whether to send out online absentee ballots. Currently, we don't plan to.
As far as programming goes:
- Aaron Segal is going a little meta as the year draws to a close. This week's lecture is "Torah Study in the Thought of R. Chaim of Volozhin: Part 1". 7:30 Wednesday, Hillel.
- We will also be having a Scholar-in-Residence this weekend with Ezra Blaustein, a candidate to take Aaron Segal's position next year.
Ezra, like Aaron, is an alum of Yeshivat Har Etzion. He also has a Masters in medieval Jewish history from YU, is a Tikvah Fellow, and will be attending the Law School (and possibly get his rabbinical ordination) this coming year.
Come to his lectures this weekend (times TBD), meet him, and tell us what you think!
- Sandwiched in between those events, this week's Parshat HaShavuah is at Friday 1PM in Hillel. In case you forgot the drill, we sent you more info in a vaguely-titled email this morning (we'll do better proofreading next time).
Hope you can make it to everything!
