SAJE At Tenth Week!

Ready for one more week of UChicago Judaism?

We have a student-led text study tomorrow, Tuesday at 6:30 in Hillel! Avi Levin will be leading it, and the subject will be  "Aristotle and Homer: Enriching Our Lives or Keeping Us From Heaven?" In other words, just how true is your suspicion that UChicago is destroying your soul? To quell your distress, we will provide you with bagels with lox and cream cheese!

Parashat HaShavua is also meeting this week! Jonas Actor will be leading us in a discussion of Korach, aka the one with the rebellion and the earth swallowing people. It is my very favorite, for utterly unsophisticated reasons. Come hear Jonas present a slightly more sophisticated discussion at 5:45 on Friday in Hillel!

And Ezra Blaustein will be giving his final Shabbaton this Shabbes! Both lectures will be at Hillel. The first will be at 8:30 on Friday: "Jerusalem on Earth, Jerusalem in Heaven". Then on Saturday at 6:30 we'll be hearing about "Problematic Demographics: The Prohibition of Counting Jews". I hope to see you there!

Best of luck with finals, and have a great summer, everybody!
