[saje] Halachic Pluralism and Srugim!

Hey SAJE-niks,

Tonight, come hear Josh Schwartz discuss pluralism and halacha at 8 pm in Hillel!

"Pluralism in the Middle Ages, or: How Not to Get Stoned as a Heretic"
This class explores the legal boundaries of heresy. What is one allowed to believe as a Jew? What happens when tradition conflicts with one's a priori commitments? What happens when authorities disagree on what makes one a heretic? Can you legalize belief or thinking? We'll explore this topic and hopefully not get stoned as a result.

And on Thursday, come watch Srugim with us! Episode 1 will be at 8, Episode 2 at 8:40, and Episode 3 at 9:20. Also in Hillel, probably in the basement media room.
For those who aren't familiar, Srugim is an Israeli TV series set in contemporary Jerusalem. It tells the story of a group of five friends as they figure out love and life and religious Judaism. It's a really funny drama with a great cast of characters.

Best,
Maxine
