This week in SAJE: Study and Spread, Gilla Rosen on prayer

Hi, everyone! Hope you had a good week.

We have not one, but two events over the next week:

Study and Spread
Tomorrow, 6-8PM, Hillel

Come join us for informal group learning and bagels! Drop in whenever you want - we'll have a study partner (and copies of the texts) for you.
The suggested topic for this week is "What the Patriarchs teach us about formal prayer", but please come and pick whatever topics you want!
Like the learning, the bagels and spreads will come in many flavors. Please RSVP (email or Facebook) by 10PM tonight if you have a favorite.

Gila Rosen: "Hannah at the Wall: How One Woman Changed Jewish Liturgy"

Sunday, 7PM, Harper 102
Gilla Rosen, an acting director at the Nishmat seminary for Jewish women and advisor in Jewish law, will be talking about how one childless woman introduced the paradigm of silent Jewish prayer.
No Jewish background required, but you'll probably find an appetite for dinner helpful ;-)

Hope you can make it to both events!
