Hi, everyone! Hope you're having a good weekend.
We have two events planned this week:
Gila Rosen: "Hannah at the Wall: How One Woman Changed Jewish Liturgy"
Sunday, 7PM, Harper 102Gilla Rosen, an acting director at the Nishmat seminary for Jewish women and advisor in Jewish law, will be talking about how one childless woman introduced the paradigm of silent Jewish prayer.
No Jewish background necessary, and we're serving a light dinner.
Ezra Blaustein: "Maimonides on Ethics"
Wednesday, 7PM, Hillel
We also wanted to give you a heads-up on our first scholar-in-residence in our "Politics and Judaism" lecture series. David Flato, associate professor of law and religion at Penn State, will be coming just next weekend! We'll send you more details later this week, but in the meantime, keep Thursday evening clear for a catered dinner and lecture.
Hope you can make it to everything,
